The American Overseas Network (AON) is a non-profit non-partisan public interest organization created on-line to provide a forum for American citizens who reside abroad.

Membership is free of charge and open to any voting age American citizen resident overseas. Members will be encouraged to take short periodic on-line surveys regarding the major issues facing American society. As 2004 is an election year AON will encourage Americans overseas to register and vote.

Members will have access to on-line information about the 2004 election from sites linked to the Democratic and Republican parties as well as independent sources. The on-line Federal PostCard Application for voter registration (OFPCA) can be downloaded at www.fvap.gov.

Membership in the American Overseas Network (AON) is free and open to any American citizen of voting age resident abroad.

AON will facilitate the networking of members and enable them to express the concerns and interests of the American community abroad.
In a later phase AON will have a representational function for its members and will develop other services that will be free of charge.

An immediate objective of AON in this 2004 election year is the need to encourage American citizens around the globe to register and vote. In pursuit of this goal detailed information on voting and registration procedures will be accessible.

Moreover, surveys of member opinion regarding the key issues in the campaign as well as the flow of preference towards the presidential candidates of the two major parties, Republican and Democratic, will be conducted. In this way the pulse of American political opinion abroad will be sampled on a regular basis and released to the media.

Links to available information on-line, provided by the Republican and Democratic parties as well as other sources, can be accessed through AON.
